4 of 5 Great upgrade for my 68 Cougar with manual drums July 3, 2019
Reviewer: 68Cat from Lisle, IL United States
Stopping my Cougar with manual drums was like trying to stop a battleship. This kit contained everything I needed to upgrade to power disks. Installation was not too difficult (my first time doing a conversion), but there were a few issues:
1. My brake peddle support did not have a pre- drilled hole. Removing it was challenging at best. The manufacturer did respond to email and sent a drawing with measurements and I was able to drill the hole in the correct spot.
2. My 14x6 Cragar SS rims did not clear the calipers and I ended up using 1/8 inch spacers to get the clearance.
3. Tightening the power booster nuts was slow and I ended up using a stubby open end wrench and a ton of patience.
4. Needed a new brake light switch for power brakes and getting it adjusted took some time and tweaking.

I have driven over 800 miles so far and the performance has been spot on. No leaks and no issues noted. Stopping is no longer a white knuckle experience. Well worth the money and time!

4 of 5 Complete conversion kit ??? February 14, 2019
Reviewer: John Menefee from San Antonio, TX United States
I had been unfamiliar with the function and importance of the distribution block on my 1969 Mustang. My car was 50 years old and the distribution block was gummed up and not functioning. I was surprised a new one wasn't included in the 'complete conversion kit'. I would recommend that the block be included OR at least a set of "o" rings for a rebuild be included. A very direct paragraph should be included in the instructions stressing the importance of this step in the rebuild. I admit I was completely unaware of its purpose.
