When upgrading to a dual bowl master cylinder, it's crucial to include a proportioning valve equipped with a safety switch. This valve's built-in safety switch detects unequal or lower pressure to one or more wheels, typically caused by a component failure.

When the valve senses a drop or change in pressure, it cuts off the pressure to the port supplying fluid to the defective brakes, effectively stopping the leak. This allows you to notice a change in pedal feel, reduced braking ability, and possibly a dashboard warning light, enabling you to safely pull your vehicle off the road without causing further harm.

Without this valve, a component failure could result in your brake pedal dropping to the floor with little to no braking capability. Ensure your brakes—the most critical component of your vehicle—are reliable and safe by installing this proportioning valve from LEED Brakes.

Use bracket # 19376 or 19377 to mount.

NOTE: A reducer fitting may be needed for rear line port (for example a 9/16-18 to 3/8-24 fitting) depending on the rear brake lines on the car. We do not sell the fitting and can be obtained from a local hardware store or similar if needed.
