Proportioning Valve 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Chrome 1964 1/2 - 1973 - LEED Brakes
Part #: 19375
Manufacturer Part #: PV4_C
Enhance the safety of your brake system with LEED Brakes' Disc/Disc Universal 4 Wheel Disc Brake Proportioning Valve. When upgrading to a dual bowl master cylinder, it is always wise to add a proportioning valve equipped with a safety switch. This safety switch detects unequal or low pressure in one or more wheels, typically due to component failure. When the 4 wheel disc brake chrome proportioning valve senses this change, it cuts off the pressure to the port supplying fluid to the defective brakes, preventing a leak. This allows you to notice a change in pedal feel, braking ability, and possibly a warning light on your dashboard, enabling you to safely pull off the road.
Without this valve, a component failure can cause your brake pedal to drop to the floor with minimal braking. Brakes are the most important component of your vehicle, so ensure safety by doing it right the first time.
Use bracket # 19376 or 19377 to mount.
NOTE: A reducer fitting may be needed for rear line port (for example a 9/16-18 to 3/8-24 fitting) depending on the rear brake lines on the car. We do not sell the fitting and can be obtained from a local hardware store or similar if needed.
