Exact reproduction of the original part. Formed of steel and coated to prevent corrosion. This is the clamp that holds down batteries in original or reproduction 64-66 battery trays.
This bolts down at the BOTTOM of the battery (the battery should have a "clamp tab" at the bottom) and holds it down to the battery tray.
Also sold in a kit along with the bolt & nut, see part # 792.
Some different style batteries do not have a clamp tab at the bottom which means the original-style clamp will not work. In that case, you can use our battery converion bracket to install a 67-70 style hold down clamp and bracket. See part # 969 for the conversion bracket and part # 5541 for the hold down rods & clamps.
